I've been working hard practicing the dance. The video clips are great & slow & make the script make sense. I'm hoping by Thursday to have it all down. I am sore today, didn't think I'd really worked that hard.

I am most saddened that you've had such a distressing experience. It's useful and important, not only for you, but for all those who are out there (even, as it happens, in the upcountry villages and suffer from aggressive neighbours) for you to have recorded and pubished what has happened. I wonder how many attacks have occurred where no authorities have assisted, nor freedom of the individual (from fear) prevailed.
I wonder why critics say you shouldn't publish what has happened to you? Attributing you with unfortunate motives is hardly persuasive: the evidence for what happened is overwhelming.
Ah well: let us hope that - out of human charity - what has happened to you never happens to your critics.

PS: The whole thing is a shame. I lived a fair time in Thailand (granted without HIV) and I found the Thai thoughtful, enlightened and sensitive. Violence was an extraordinary taboo - a taboo which has been broken here.
Weird, really. I know well how much charity work you've done in Thailand (some of it on my behalf), both for AIDS and for Tsunami orphans. Hopefully in the near future, we can both make time for a lot more.
